WORKING WITH TEXTURES

Choose a texture and give credit

Use material, color and size information to find the right image and include the required source credit.

Start with the kind of surface your project needs: paper for a collage, worn paint for a distressed print, or a quiet grain for a background.

Narrow the library

Search for a material or descriptive word, then use the category, color and orientation filters. Collections group surfaces for a particular mood or use. Save promising images with the heart button to compare them later in Favorites.

Read the file details

Open a texture and check its dimensions, format and file size. Choose enough pixels for the final size of your design. A browser preview helps you explore the surface; the listed original dimensions describe the published source file.

Check availability

A card marked Design preview is an illustration of the website layout. It is not a published texture. The detail page shows whether an original download is available.

Include the source

TextureStock requires a visible credit for personal and commercial use, including modified textures. Open License and select Copy credit. Place it in the project caption, description, credits page or printed acknowledgments. For online work, include a clickable source link.

You may incorporate textures into your finished creative work. Do not offer original or modified standalone texture files for resale or redistribution. Read the License page for the full site terms.
